Brand Management

As the Brand & Corporate Communications Intern at GlobalFoundries, I played a key role in ensuring brand alignment across all company collateral. I managed the brand inbox, handled incoming requests, and tracked project deadlines, reporting directly to the Global Head of Brand. As one of two brand representatives serving over 13,000 global employees, I was responsible for executing a wide range of assignments using Adobe, InDesign, and Microsoft tools.  â€‹

  • Enforcing ​Brand Guidelines: Responsible for ensuring brand alignment on all digital and physical collateral for over 13,000 global employees. Developed and implemented comprehensive brand strategies that aligned with business goals, encompassing brand positioning, messaging, and long-term planning. 

  • Internal Brand Audit and Content Alignment: Conducted a thorough audit of the internal SharePoint site to ensure all content adhered to updated brand guidelines and incorporated the newly registered trademark logo. Edited thousands of files to reflect brand identity and systemized the SharePoint site to streamline file sharing and reporduction for the entire company. 

  • Creation of Branded Collateral: Designed and developed editable templates, reusable files, and drafts for various collateral, including PowerPoint presentations, letterheads, internal news publications, promotional campaigns, department-specific materials, banners, booth designs, flyers, and merchandise. These resources were tailored for future use across multiple departments, enhancing brand consistency and efficiency.

Brand Identity and Design

  • Bespoke Wordmark Development: Conceptualized and executed distinctive wordmarks for various internal company departments, collaborating closely with each team to capture their unique identity, values, and objectives. This ensured that each wordmark was relevant and resonant, while also aligning with the company’s overarching brand guidelines. Over 20 bespoke wordmarks designed and published for internal and external use including; AI ML, Cybersecurity, Automotive, Manufacturing, and several ERGs. 

  • Tailored Design and Branding: Created secondary versions of internal templates, including specific designs, photography, wordmarks, and branding elements, customized for each department. This involved design collaboration with each team to ensure the materials were tailor-made to meet their needs.

  • Visual and Verbal Brand Refinement: Refined visual and verbal brand identities across the organization, including logos, color schemes, typography, and tone of voice. Advised on copywriting for internal and external campaigns to align with the company’s verbal brand identity and messaging.

Events & Marketing

  • Global Technological Summits (GlobalFoundries): Played a key role in the execution of three annual Global Technological Summits, which showcased the company’s technological advancements, business strategy, and market position to investors and partners. Contributed to designing event collateral, including partner and sponsor banners, event layouts to accommodate guest capacity, event scheduling, Keynote Speaker presentations, video wall designs, and merchandise. Managed relationships with partners during the collateral creation process, ensuring alignment with their branding while adhering to our brand guidelines. Developed a project tracker and took charge of planning deadlines and task execution for the team, partners, sponsors, and a third-party design company.

  • Internal and External Event Marketing: Created marketing collateral for various internal and external events, including those for the Society of Women Engineers and University Recruitment. The collateral encompassed booth designs, flyers, banners, merchandise, and copywriting, all tailored to meet the specific needs of each event.

Market Research & Analysis

  • Social Media Strategy and Brand Identity (EMC): Analyzed clients' social media footprints to develop a cohesive brand identity, define target audiences (including social media users and high fashion brands for potential paid promotions), and create a posting and engagement strategy. Delivered detailed storyboards to the CEO for client presentations and effectively presented strategic ideas to the leadership team. Implemented platform-specific social media strategy on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Snapchat.

  • Market Research and Strategic Insights (Talent Inc.): Conducted in-depth internal and external interviews with key stakeholders at Talent Inc. and various higher education institutions, generating significant strategic insights into the student-focused solutions software market. Developed and launched a survey targeting 20+ career services professionals, gathering valuable data on the higher education software market. Presented findings and strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive leadership, leading to the decision to commercialize a new software product for the higher education sector.

  • Executive Consultation: Collaborated with the PR team to advise the CEO on responses for a CNBC interview series, particularly highlighting technological advances in the automotive sector. I tailored the CEO’s interview responses to align with our brand messaging, navigating market turbulence and public relations regarding staffing affairs. 

  • ​Global Brand ManagementAs one of two members of the brand team responsible for overseeing brand consistency for 13,000 global employees at GlobalFoundries, I maintained uniform brand messaging across all communication channels, including LinkedIn, CNBC, internal communications, marketing, and advertising. I ensured alignment in all digital and physical collateral and worked closely with the Global Brand Manager to develop and reinforce brand messaging. Additionally, I communicated the importance of brand consistency and alignment to both internal and external stakeholders.
